An Evening of Impact, Community & Giving Back

Kind in the Vines is the Kindness Closet’s signature annual fundraiser — a beautiful evening at Davesté Vineyards that brings together generous donors, dedicated volunteers, and community champions to support a critical cause: hygiene equity.
 

While it’s certainly a fun night filled with music, wine, and connection, Kind in the Vines is more than just a party — it’s a chance to stand up for the 1 in 3 North Carolinians who struggle to afford basic hygiene essentials like shampoo, soap, deodorant, period products, and laundry detergent. These items are not covered by SNAP or WIC, leaving many families silently facing this hidden but deeply impactful crisis.
 

As North Carolina’s only dedicated hygiene bank, the Kindness Closet partners with food pantries, school districts, Head Start programs, senior centers, and medical clinics to distribute hygiene kits where they’re needed most. We also provide direct outreach at community events so that children and families can start school — and life — with dignity and confidence.

Proceeds from Kind in the Vines provide vital support for this work, helping us expand our reach and serve more neighbors in need.

Join us as we wine down with Davesté wine, local craft beer, delicious hors d’oeuvres, live music, a silent auction, and a meaningful hands-on service opportunity — where every guest gets to pack hygiene kits and be part of the solution.
